Kelly Ryberg M.A., CCRP

Associate Director

Kelly Ryberg received her B.A. from UMN and her M.A. from City University of New York's Hunter College. She joined the MnDRIVE DBS Core 2014 and took on the role of Associate Director in 2022. She previously worked in PTSD research at the Bronx VA and in preclinical research at Hunter College and UMN.

Marina Bryants, CCRP

Research Project Manager

Marina Bryants joined the MnDRIVE DBS Core as a coordinator in 2019, and was made Project Manager in 2022. She received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Minnesota. She came to Neurology from the Department of Psychology, where she conducted research on neurodevelopment in adolescent twins.

Marghie Winter

Regulatory Specialist

Marghie Winter began as a Regulatory Specialist in the Department of Neurology in 2023. At the age of 19, she graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead with a Bachelor's Degree in Biology and later earned her MPH from Concordia University Texas. She has previous experience in ophthalmologic clinical research and is passionate about the advancement of patient treatment options through research.

Jeanie Pebbles

Outreach and Regulatory Specialist

Jeanie Pebbles started her career at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory as an engineer, and moved into clinical research at the University of Minnesota in the Departments of Neurosurgery and Psychiatry. Prior to returning to the University in 2024, she worked as a CRA monitor for a MN-based medical device company. Jeanie holds a B.S. in Genetics, a Graduate Certificate in Nanotechnology, and a Master's in Clinical Research. As an Outreach Specialist and Regulatory Coordinator, her innovative approach will support the department's commitment to excellence.

Emily Weatherill

Support Coordinator

Emily Weatherill began working in the Department of Neurology with Movement Disorder patients in February of 2023. She is primarily involved with deep brain stimulation studies for Parkinson’s Disease in which she helps coordinate patient enrollment and participation. Emily received her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Psychology from Black Hills State University.

Yer Yang, CMA

DBS Care Coordinator

As the Care Coordinator for the Deep Brain Stimulation Program at the M Health Fairview - Neurology Clinic, Yer Yang helps patients navigate through the process of Deep Brain Stimulation, before and after surgery, if they are approved. She also assists in scheduling appointments for the Udall Clinical Core research and helps to maintain and improve the DBS program with various projects.
